It is therefore the perfect way to broaden your mind and create unforgettable memories. If you are unsure on the best vacation for your next adventure, check out these 10 different types of travel.

  1. A Weekend Break

Don’t allow working life to stand in the way of your passion for travel. Make the most of your spare time by enjoying a fun weekend break once the working week is done. A short weekend getaway will give you something to look forward to all week long, and you can jet off on a short 48-hour break that will have you back home in time for work come Monday morning.

  1. A Package Holiday

How does two weeks in a tropical destination sound? If it sounds like bliss, you should book a package holiday that include your flights, hotel, food, and drink. Once you arrive at your destination, the hardest choice you will have to make is whether to opt for a Pina Colada or a Mojito. It is the ideal trip when travelling with family and/or friends.

  1. A Relaxing Retreat

The stresses of daily life can often take their toll on your mind and body. It is therefore important to enjoy a relaxing retreat to recover from everyday pressures. For instance, Ayahuasca retreats can provide a powerful, enjoyable healing experience, so you can release unwanted emotions and tensions to start living your life to the full.

  1. A Group Tour

Group tours allow you and your friends to embrace different experiences, try new things and learn more about a subject. Whether you want to learn more about history, fishing or cheesemaking, you can guarantee there is a group tour for you, which will be packed full of fun activities you will each love. You’ll also travel with people who will share your interest in a subject, so you could potentially make new friends along the way.

  1. A Road Trip

Pack your case, buckle up your seatbelt and crank up the radio before hitting the open road for an unforgettable road trip. You can either map out your route to visit different destinations, or you can simply drive your car to discover where the road takes you. It’s a superb way to see new sights, absorb natural beauty and meet different people from various walks of life. Just ensure you have plenty of money for fuel, food, drink and accommodation along the way.

  1. Volunteering Trip

It can be an incredibly rewarding experience, as you can help change the lives of those who need your support the most. You will spend months or possibly years travelling your way across the globe, with the aim of spending long periods of time in each location to learn more about the culture. Make your money go a little further by staying in cheap hostels and buying affordable food, drink and attraction tickets. If you are staying for more than a month, you could take a full or part-time job to top up your bank balance, but make sure you apply for a work visa before you seek employment.

  1. A Gap Year

A gap year is simply an annual break from study, work or volunteering to travel the world. It doesn’t matter if you are 20 or 50 years old, you can take a gap year at any age. You can choose to visit different destinations, or you could spend one year in one country – and you could even obtain a working holiday visa to earn money for your travel experience. It is one year you will never regret.

  1. Event Travelling

Is your favourite sporting event taking place halfway across the world? Maybe your favourite musician is performing a one-off concert in another country. Well, what is stopping you from booking a ticket to the event, securing flights and accommodation and making your way to the event? 1. Business Travel

There are some jobs that will literally pay for their employees to travel the world. The company will foot the bill for all flights, accommodation, food and drink. While you might not be able to pick where you will travel to, it is a great way to experience new destinations, cuisines and cultures. So, if this sounds right up your street, look for a high-flying role that will pay you to spend the working week in a new location.

4 Ways to Spice Up Your Life

September 13, 2017 By Admin Leave a Comment

Routines can be boring and often make us feel like we’re stuck and in a slump. The older you get, the more you realize how precious your time is. It makes you realize that there’s so much more you want to do and experience.

Before it’s too late, it’s a good idea to write down your bucket list and start crossing off the items one by one. The trouble is thinking about what you want to do and where you want to start. Don’t get caught up in the details right away. Brainstorm and get creative, so all of the possibilities are out on the table. See these four ways to spice up your life.

Travel

If you’re feeling restless it could be because you’re in need of a vacation. Grant yourself the permission to go have a good time. Get your spouse or family together and come up with an exotic location to go spend a week or two. You work hard and it’s about time you get your chance to unwind and have a good time. Travel to a few different destinations and get a taste of it all. Meet new people and try foods you normally wouldn’t get to enjoy at home.

Move

This may be the perfect time in your life to move locations. Start fresh with a brand new neighborhood and job. There are beautiful apartments in LaGrange, GA that offer amenities ranging from resort style pools, playgrounds and fitness centers to a dog run. The Valley Community Center and Sportsplex is within walking distance of both properties. This could be just the place you need for a fresh start. Focus on all the positives that come from moving and worry about the details once you get there.

Get in Shape

If you’re feeling down, it’s a smart idea to get a makeover and hit the gym. This is a good time to focus on yourself and feeling good. Eating right and working out is also good for your health. Set goals and track your progress along the way. You’ll see yourself transform into a new you in no time. Getting in shape does wonders for your body, but it also boosts your confidence. Formalizing a weight loss goal and watching yourself exceed it is sure to spice up your life.

Improve Your Social Scene

One reason you may be feeling restless is because you haven’t been doing much. Create some excitement in your life by scheduling events with your friends and spouse. It’s healthy to have interactions and build connections with others. Head to a theme park, go dancing or treat yourself to a day at the spa. Put a few different activities on your calendar each week and you’ll be good to go.

Conclusion

Becoming aware that you’re in need of a change is nerve-wracking. It doesn’t have to be if you’re prepared with a list of what to do about it. These are four ways to spice up your life.

Why should Agra (India) be on your bucket list

June 17, 2017 By Admin Leave a Comment

People make their bucket lists according to their own preferences and what attracts them the most in a location. There is no wrong way to do it. Only you can establish the criteria because you are the one who knows yourself best. It is pretty logical. However, you must always be open for recommendations. Broadening your horizons is the best thing you could do as a traveler, which is why you should hear more about Agra.

Chances are you already know about this city in India. Everyone knows what is there to explore. If not, then you should know that Agra hosts one of the biggest love monuments in the world, the Taj Mahal.

Taj Mahal is a white marble mausoleum built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. The monument is, in fact, the tomb of his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal. UNESCO declared the structure a World Heritage Site stating that it is the ‘jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage.’ It is not difficult to see why. The place is an architectural wonder and a small piece of heaven. The gardens are spectacular, and the sights are amazing. Keep in mind that the area may get crowded sometimes. Taj Mahal has millions of visitors every year. However, do not let that steal the opportunity of admiring one of the most beautiful structures in the world.

Apart from Taj Mahal, Agra has other beauties you can enjoy. One of them is the Agra Fort. The structure is not as imposing and impressive as the Taj Mahal, but it is definitely worth visiting. The place holds many stories, but it would be best if you hire a guide to enlighten you on the building’s history. The sights are beautiful, and you can enjoy a nice view from the top. People say that the Agra Fort is a complimentary attraction in the city, although it would be best to enjoy it without comparing it to Taj Mahal. Otherwise, you can spoil the experience.

Sheesh Mahal is inside the Agra Fort, but there is something special about it that makes it a main attraction. The walls and ceiling are covered in mirrors. Small pieces of mirror, in fact. The glass palace was built by Shah Jahan as well. The mirror is said to be brought from Syria. The design is marvelous, and you will be mesmerized by the details of the place. There is nothing like it in the entire world. Do not leave the Agra Fort without seeing the Sheesh Mahal.

Agra should be on everyone’s bucket list. As a traveler, you cannot go through life without seeing the Taj Mahal at least once. The trip is affordable; you can do it on a budget, like most travelers. Not to mention that getting a visa is extremely easy. All you need is an Indian e-visa, and you can enter the country through one of the 24 airports and three seaports. All you need is a valid passport and a few other things. You can also get passport photos online if you think it is necessary. There is little effort on your part. All you have to do is book that flight and pack a bag.

How to Pick Bucket-List-Worthy Travel Destinations?

March 16, 2017 By anthony Leave a Comment

Putting together your bucket list of travel destinations is often easy when you first think of it, but when you sit down and go to put pen to paper, suddenly you start to question what makes a destination worthy of bucket list status? How do you possibly begin to put together a bucket list of travel destinations that will leave you feeling fulfilled, and as though you’ve seen the best of the best in your books?

There are actually a few criteria you can use that will help you put together your own ultimate list of bucket list destinations that you can slowly work on over your lifetime. Let’s take a look.

Get Engaged and Start Your Research

The first step should be to get engaged and start your own form of travel research. This can include talking to friends who have travelled far and wide, talking to a travel agent, reading blogs such as the popular mrhudsonexplores.com blog, watching travel-based television programs, picking up travel magazines, and brochures.

This is an excellent way to broaden your knowledge and discover countries and destinations that appeal to you. It’s a good idea to take notes as you conduct your research, both on the destinations that appeal to you and those that don’t.

Is It a Life-Changing Experience?

As you pick each of the destinations, the most important question you can ask about each one is whether or not it will be a life-changing experience. Is it an experience you will carry with you the rest of your life? Will it enrich your life, your mind, your spirit in some sort of way? If you can answer yes to each of these questions, then you know you’ve chosen the right destinations.

There are plenty of sample bucket lists out there, but remember your bucket list needs to be a reflection of you. It doesn’t matter what others may consider a bucket list destination, it’s about what would be inspiring and meaningful to you.

Create an Order to Your List

Once you start to shape your list of destinations, you can then begin to order them and prioritize them. You can choose the criteria you order them, here are some common ones:

  • From least expensive to most expensive
  • From closest to furthest away
  • From the shortest trip to the longest

Order them based on season (the ideal season to visit each destination).

By organising your list of destinations it will help you to work through them. For example, maybe the first few years you can only afford to visit the cheaper destinations. At least you can look at your list and instantly know which destinations that includes.

The List Should be a Fluid Thing

It’s also important to keep in mind that your list should be a fluid thing, meaning it shouldn’t be written in stone. Over the years your interests, budget, availability, etc., can change. It’s important to re-evaluate your bucket list every few years and make sure it’s still reflective of the places you really want to see. By keeping an open mind to new and emerging destinations, you’re sure to choose wisely.

5 Valuable Tips for New Global Travellers

November 21, 2016 By anthony Leave a Comment

norway-772991_960_720

Many who are at a crossroads in their life pack their bags and head overseas. Travelling can change some people’s lives but, for those who have not travelled before, it can be extremely daunting. Whether you are travelling alone, or with friends, there are some questions that you need answering.

Have I Got the Correct Visa?

Those who live within European Union countries are free to roam throughout the EU as they please. However, if this does not include you or your destinations, you will need the correct visa for your travels. Countries have different visas depending on your activities when visiting which, for newbie travellers, tends to be working, studying, or simply tourism. It is imperative that you have the correct visa you need when travelling and it is best to get everything sorted months in advance.

The easiest way to research the visa you will need is to take to Google, and visit a government website for the country you will be heading to. Usually, you can apply online.

What If I Have an Emergency Abroad?

Before you head abroad you need to be prepared for every eventuality. Chances are, your travels will go without a blip but, isn’t it best to be prepared in case of an emergency? There are a number of international travel insurance plans available that can be tailored to your specific requirements.

Comprehensive expat travel insurance policies ensure that you are protected. Whether you need emergency medical treatment, or have had your bag stolen, travel insurance means you will be safe and secure at all times. Accidents and scary situations can happen during your travels and having the correct insurance policy will save you a lot of fear and stress.

How Much Gear Should I Take?

Whether you are travelling to Guatemala or Hong Kong, the rule of thumb is to pack light. As a new traveller, the tendency is to pack for any eventuality even though you know lugging around an overloaded backpack isn’t practical. To save yourself from this, buy a rucksack that is on the smaller side – this will ensure you are only packing the essentials. Even if you are trekking into the deepest uninhabited rainforest, you will come across civilisation at some point, and this is when you can stock up or purchase necessities. Remember, even if you are travelling solo, you will make friends along the way and they will be more than willing to help you out if you need something.

How Much Money Should I Take?

Budgeting for your adventure will depend on how you plan on living during your time away. Australia and New Zealand tend to be a little more expensive, whereas you can happily get by on $15 a day in Asian countries. Hostels and food costs will vary from location to location but, once you have a budget in place, try and stick to it as best you can. Scour the internet for advice, there are a number of forums and guides that will be able to help you based on the specific country you are visiting.

However, always take a substantial monetary cushion. You may have a last-minute change of heart and want to fly to a specific island or there may be an emergency that eats into your funds. Even if you are the greatest planner in the world, there will always be something that could potentially knock your budget, so it is best to have a back-up fund.

Will I Get Home Sick?

Yes. Unless you have a heart made of ice, you will miss your family and friends. Having a mobile phone and occasional access to Skype will make things a little easier and, let’s not forget you will be exploring! Missing home is natural but what you must remember is, there will be many people in your destination that will be feeling exactly the same. If you have gone abroad with a friend, excellent, but also make sure to reach out to the vast network of travellers you are sharing the location with. Speaking to other globetrotters will help ease the pain of missing home and give you the chance to create new relationships.

How to Reduce the Cost of a Lengthy Trip Abroad

November 16, 2016 By anthony Leave a Comment

Lost_Coast_backpacking

Would you like to spend a long period of time travelling, working or living in another country? If so, it’s vital to be aware of the financial implications of such a life changing decision. However, if you take control of your finances and prepare properly, you can greatly reduce the cost of such a move. Below are some ways you can do this.

Research Your Destination

It’s never been as easy as it is now to research any location in the world. Countless websites, forums, blogs and mobile apps contain all the information you will ever need about almost every country, city, town or village on the planet. You should be able to easily find out what the cost of living is like in a particular place, how much it costs to get there, accommodation costs and other expenses that you will have to pay for when you reach your destination.

Make Connections before Leaving

Local knowledge is invaluable when you move to a new location. This is why you should make contact with friends, family members and people who have previously lived in the place you intend to go to, or people who currently live there. These people will be able to guide you in the right direction and you could avoid making many costly mistakes.

Get Qualified

If you intend to work for a certain period of time in your host country, it’s essential to have the appropriate qualifications and experience that will allow you to start working in a higher paid position quickly. In other situations, you may want to obtain a certain qualification before you leave home or while you’re away.

Online courses provided by leading educational institutions like Arizona State University offer you the perfect solution. For instance, if you want to get an online nursing degree, you can study for this degree at times that suit you. Even if you have not completed this type of online accelerated nursing program, you can finish it when you get to your new temporary home. This then gives you the opportunity to apply for better positions once you graduate.

Rent Your Home While You’re Away

If you’re a home owner, the mortgage on your property still needs to be paid. Instead of leaving your house or apartment abandoned till you return, consider renting it. This will reduce your monthly outgoings and prevent your home from deteriorating because people will be living in it.

Save Before You Leave

Things can go wrong, so it’s important to save as much money as possible before you set off on your new adventure. In the months leading up to your departure, you should look at ways to reduce your spending so that you have enough money for your voyage.

Moving to another location can be expensive, especially in the beginning. However, if you follow the tips above, you can reduce the cost of a lengthy trip abroad and live a much more enjoyable and fulfilling life while you are there
