Holding the stingrays at Stingray City, Antigua
I have received the distinction of Freshly Pressed twice in my first year – the first for Stingray City – Antiuga, and the second for Cycling Across Canada: Back on track. These 2 posts rank the highest in popularity over my first year. Swimming with the stingrays is an experience I won’t soon forget – these gentle sea creatures were amazing. The people of Stringray City dispelled the myths and fears associated with the rays and made a fantastic afternoon, swimming and feeding the stingrays.
Of all my trips, travels and experiences, cycling across Canada is the one to which I am most proud – the adventure was solo and I met so many wonderful people along the way who made the journey epic and something I will never forget! The journey was over 6,000kms, taking me 2 1/2 months. There were hardships and challenges, but these were outweighed by random acts of kindness and generosity as I pedalled coast to coast! Love Locks Prague ranks as my 3rd most visited page – I think that it is so romantic that so many people have taken to declaring their love through love locks, in Prague and throughout the world! I look forward to bringing you more Love Locks from my travels as I find them!
Not surprising, my hotel review of the Grand Palladium in Montego Bay Jamaica also ranks in the top 5 – who doesn’t dream of a winter escape, especially when living in the northern climes where snow and freezing temperatures have palm trees and rum punch dancing in our heads! I have been back to the Grand Palladium more than once – it really is a perfect getaway from the cold Canadian winters!
Live the photo: Lac La Peche rounds out the top 5. Love the photo – going back to childhood summer fun…..puts a smile on my face.
