Boston InterContinental Waterfront Hotel: Hotel Review
Sometimes a girl needs a little luxury on the road, and that is just what Boston’s InterContinental Hotel offered. From the moment the valet took the car, we were ushered in on the red carpet and greeted with a smile. Nothing left to do but relax and enjoy our stay.
Perfectly located, the InterContinental is central to anything a girl could need, from shopping, chic restaurants and nightlife, to coffee shops and a myriad of Boston attractions – once you check into the hotel, you can leave your worries behind. Hand your keys over to the valet. There is no need for the car – everything is accessible by foot or taxi.
The room was heavenly – just as I would have expected from the InterContinental. Love the chaise at the end of the bed – a touch of elegance that lends itself to a moment of relaxation. A decadent soaker tub and spacious bathroom complemented the room and provided a welcome respite after a day spent walking around town. I can see why this hotel is so popular with business travel – the attention to detail, and the added comforts of the room make travel a pleasure. They even considered the high tech needs of the modern day traveller with multiple plugins at the desk.
Well worth the splurge – this chic hotel holds a 4 Diamond AAA rating. It is luxury with an ultra-modern style. My only regret – not leaving enough time to visit their spa – the suggestion of “being transcended into a world of balance, harmony and tranquility” leaves me wanting to come back for another visit.

Driving to the InterContinental Boston was less intimidating than driving in many big American cities. Access to the hotel couldn’t be easier – located within a block of one of the Big Dig tunnels, access to/from the I93 was simple. Arriving in our little Volkswagon Gulf – we felt a little shabby turning over the car keys to the smartly dressed valet service, but that was quickly forgotten as we were escorted into the hotel and handed the key to our room.
